The Rural Entrepreneurship Cup / / Mentorship program for the winners of business marathons

The project "Promoting entrepreneurship in developing rural areas" launches a mentorship program for the teams selected under three business marathons held in December in Soroca, Nisporeni and Stefan-Voda.



15 business startup grants provided in the Security Zone

Business Consulting Institute (BCI) announces that the grant competition organized within the project "Creation of Job Opportunities through Business Support for Youth" had 80 participants. 15 business plans were selected from 80 application files in an open competition.



Decentralization, a path to economic and social stability

The merging of local governments would be a solution to make decentralization advance. This would enhance economic efficiency of public service provision. The district level of local government should disappear. It would save up to 200 million lei per year, which could be used to create better public services. The buildings of merged mayoralties could be redesigned and incorporate one stop offices. The jobs in local government could be therefore maintained and even multiplied, employees’ salaries would increase and services would get better.



The last of Hackathons was held in Stefan-Voda

The business incubator in Stefan-Voda hosted the last of the three Hackathons currently organized under the project "Promoting entrepreneurship in developing rural areas".



5 teams of young entrepreneurs passed the test of a training marathon

Business Consulting Institute, ODIMM and CIVITTA Estonia held a second Hackathon at the Business Incubator in Nisporeni, as part of the project "Promoting entrepreneurship in developing rural areas".



Eighty young people from the Security Zone requested business startup grants

The SCBM Programme and Business Consulting Institute announce that 80 grant applications were submitted by 16 November under the project "Creation of Job Opportunities through Business Support for Youth". Each of the application files contains a business plan and the fields chosen by competitors are very diverse.



The finalists of the Hackathon held in the town of Soroca

The business incubator in the town of Soroca hosted one of the first three Hackathons of the project "Promoting entrepreneurship in developing rural areas". The event was attended by 75 young people from rural areas aiming to start or develop their own business. 50 of them accepted the challenge and entered the competition. The competitors were divided into 14 teams and took part in a real two-day training marathon, conducted by experts of BCI, ODIMM and CIVITTA Estonia.



New development objectives and strategy for the town of Ialoveni

A new meeting of the working group preparing socio-economic development strategies occurred today in the town of Ialoveni. The members of the coordinating group dicussed the progress of the strategy development and contributed to defining the vision, objectives and development priorities for the town of Ialoveni.
