Trainings for small and medium enterprises in Iasi

Business Consulting Institute organizes in Iasi, during September 22-October 3, two training sessions for SMEs in the border region Romania-R. Moldova. BCI cooperates with the Center for Continuous Learning of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to accomplish this task.

The training sessions of the project „Competitiveness enhancement through human synergy in the border region” started this week. The first one, on economic competitiveness improvement through innovation and research, is held at Vadul lui Voda, during September 9-12.



The Cross-Border Business Forum, a regional event held in Chisinau

This week started in Chisinau with an event which brought together businessmen from Romania, Ukraine and Moldova and representatives of national and local authorities, diplomatic institutions, development partners and civil society.

Ungheni becomes Moldova's first city with an European General Urban Plan

Ungheni is the first Moldovan city that developed a General Urban Plan (GUP) for the next 15 years according to European standards and it will be submitted for approval to local councilors in September this year. The GUP has concrete goals until 2030 and plans to attracts investments of over 1 billion lei, to double the number of jobs, and to ensure that 100% of the city inhabitants have access to quality drinking water and to sewage services, IPN reports.



Tourism cooperation in the Black Sea region, in a project supported by the European Union

The Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Programme offers an exceptional opportunity for Moldova, to learn from the experience of other countries in the region, in various fields, including tourism. In this context, Business Consulting Institute implements the project “Black Sea Network for Sustainable Tourism - Strategies for joint tourism marketing and development in the Black Sea region", funded by the European Union through this program and launched in January 2014.



Economic war and the costs of our independence

Russia has declared war against us. A media war. A cold war. An economic war. The Russian Prime Minister has recently asked the government to adopt urgent decisions to sanction Moldova. The action is a response to the signing of the EU - Republic of Moldova Association Agreement. As expected, the penalties increase. On the day when the Association Agreement was ratified by the Parliament, the Russian authorities decided to interdict the import of Moldovan meat products.



The European project implemented in Telenesti and Orhei launches four local development initiatives

The project „Promoting PPI as an efficient mechanism for community empowerment and sustainable local development”, implemented by Business Consulting Institute in our country, is an EU funded project. It is at the stage where it can present its achievements. Its final conference took place in Telenesti, on July 29, bringing together local authorities, representatives of the EU Delegation to Moldova, UNDP, USAID, GIZ, civil society and mass-media.
