"CrepeOn" won the Rural Entrepreneurship Cup



Chisinau, May, 6th 2016 The second phase of Rural Entrepreneurship Cup is over. It was a competition about inovative entrepreneurship launched in Moldova within „Entrepreneurship Promotion for ruraral development” Project.

 

After a careful evaluation, the jury has decided that CrêpeOn team deserves the Cup,  Cristina Ungureanu from Soroca has developed this business guided by her mentor –  Lucia Usurelu.  The final decision was  announced live today on a national television Moldova 1 within "Buna Seara” (“Good Evening”) show.

CrêpeON has to offer to its clients only natural pancakes and beverages, and it is one of the 15 launched businesses from this edition of “Rural Entrepreneurship Cup” Project. 

 

Beside the winner there were 4 other teams who got qualified for the final stage which successfully developed their businesses within this project and received grants for that:

 

“Bags Bunny” business, developed by Sorin Braga and Dorian Creanga from Causeni under Rodica’s Bivol mentorship. 

 “Bags Bunny” is a rabbit farm constructed based on Italian standards. The innovative element is the “circled” activity of the farm. The rabbits are fed according to established standards, without additives and the collected waste is used for biogas production, which produces electricity for the farm’s further machinery operation. The waste from biogas production is used as a fertilizer for the crop growth.

 

“Candle Design” business, developed by Natalia Cebotari from Stefan Voda under Rodica’s Bivol mentorship.

“Candle Design” has decorative candles for various occasions (weddings, christening receptions, holidays) or just  for a  unique and romantic atmosphere. The high quality handmade candles are at a very good price  and are made from wax and paraffin. The candles come in different sizes, colors and scents proper for the best moments of your life.

 

“BIS” business is developed by Sofia Spinei and Doina Bondac from Soroca. Mentor: Gheorghe Ciobanu

“BIS” Agency is organizing special events like: weddings, christening receptions, private parties, birthdays in an interactive way. Their services imply animation and amusement (dancers, entertainers etc.), also photo and video services, music and moderators. “BIS” brings a smile on everyone’s faces, thanks to the delightful and magic atmosphere .

 

“ Info Portal “ business http://stefanvoda.info, developed by Alexandru Topolenco and his team from Stefan Voda. Mentor: Marin Roscovan

Alexandru Topolenco and his team have created an equidistant web site for the south part of Republic of Moldova. In order to gain profit and to be able to keep the site they offer publicity services to the interested parties. The team members have big future plans, they want to turn the news site into a digital TV channel which will cover the whole south region.

 

The participants from both final and pre-final phases will receive support during 6 months from local business incubators and from a local and international team of mentors in order to develop their businesses.

 

The „Entrepreneurship Promotion for ruraral development” Project is financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Estonia via Humanitarian Assistance and Development Fund and was implemented in August 2015- June 2016 period by „Business Consulting Institute” (BCI) in partnership with Organization for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (ODIMM) and CIVITTA Estonia.
