European project enhances competitiveness in the cross-border area Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova



Business Consulting Institute implements a cross-border project aiming to improve SMEs’ competitiveness and to create business opportunities in the cross-border area Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova.


Its partners within the project “Competitiveness enhancement through human synergy in the border region” are the Regional Entrepreneurs Association North-East Romania, the Association for the Economic Development of Kolomyya Region (Ukraine) and the Dialogue for Development Association Iasi (Romania). Activities are financially supported by the European Commission, through the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument, within the Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova 2007-2013. The budget is 172 015 Euro or 3 078 897 MDL.


There will be developed studies in the following sectors: consultancy, agriculture and food industry, tourism and transport. There will be analyzed business potential at cross-border level. The results of the studies and sectoral analyses will serve as support for materials to be developed and used in training with young entrepreneurs and SMEs and business support organizations.    

 

There will also be defined a joint strategy to attract investments, through competitiveness, innovation and cooperation. An investor's guide will be published, for business environment in the cross-border area.


They will be presented at two forums to be organized by the partners, where new cross-border partnerships will be established.     


Project activities will be carried out until October 2014.
