Purpose: To intensify the collaboration between national and regional public authorities in ATU Gagauzia, Taraclia district and neighboring localities, to establish a development path in the context of national strategies and to contribute to the social-economic development of this region and of the Republic of Moldova in general.
Objectives:
- Elaboration/updating of socio-economic development strategies of the communities in Gagauzia and Taraclia district and application of European and international standards on integrated development.
Results:
- Elaboration/updating the socio-economic development profiles and strategies of 14 localities in Gagauzia and Taraclia district;
- Community capacity building and training activities and ongoing support;
- Elaboration of project proposals, including inter-municipal cooperation, support for their implementation by the formed working groups and LPAs;
- Training courses on fundraising organized for LPAs and civil society; support in finding additional funds for local development projects;
- Increased collaboration between local institutions and civil society, between local communities;
- At least 2 more local development project proposals in each community;
- Activities to increase local government capacity and improve public services.
