Project implemented with Polish support successfully completed

The project “Training for the local communities in the Republic of Moldova for the efficient use of funds provided by the European programmes of cross-border cooperation” has come to an end. It was launched in April 2013 and has aimed to offer training to the institutions from the Republic of Moldova to efficiently use the funds provided by the Joint Operational Programme Romania – Ukraine – Republic of Moldova 2007 – 2013. This was a common initiative of Business Consulting Institute and the PAUCI Foundation (Poland), financially supported by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the PAUCI Foundation.

The activities have engaged specialists of local government and NGOs from 24 districts of Moldova. They have attended two trainings in project management, followed by two study visits to Poland, which were an opportunity to learn from the Polish experience in cross-border cooperation projects.

Seven projects were written after these activities, following the requirements of the JOP Romania – Ukraine – Republic of Moldova. One of the results achieved is the better quality of developed projects and the increased participation of local government and NGOs to the Joint Operational Programme.

The final results are to be presented on Tuesday, December 10, at the project closing conference. It will be hosted by Regency Hotel and will bring together specialists from the beneficiary districts, experts from Poland and representatives of the Polish government.

The conference will have three panels, which will focus on the following topics:  (1) Cross-border cooperation programmes: Poland’s and Moldova’s experience; (2) Funds provided by the cross-border cooperation programmes; (3) CBC perspective for Moldova in 2014-2020.
